How MedXCom Patient benefits MedXCom Physician Users
Giffen’s MedXCom Patient will allow all calls received through MedXCom to display existing patients’ name and phone number. MedXCom will work closely with your practice to help promote MedXCom Patient to your patients. Once your patients visit and log-in to MedXCom Patient, they will be able to fill out their health profile comprehensively. At that point, not only will your patient’s name populate your smart phone should they be calling you, but so too will other important information like medications, allergies, medical conditions, past surgical history and past hospitalizations. Once linked to your existing EMR/EHR, MedXCom patient will automatically update the patient’s health profile.This enables physicians to not only know who is calling but also to see their medical history before they answer the call.
In addition the iPrescribe app, which is linked to the MedXCom iPhone app, will migrate all the pertinent patient information into it automatically after the call has ended. This will include allergies and any meds which the patient has already listed in their PHP, thus reducing the risk of dangerous allergic reactions and drug interactions for those prescriptions which are sent to their pharmacy electronically. It will also access the Sure Scripts database for medications prescribed by other physicians and thus substantially reduce the risk of medication errors.
Having this type of information available to you, or anyone who is covering for you, allows you to practice the best patient care by having critical patient information when it is needed most—at the time of patient contact.
MedXCom Patient Features
- Ability for patients to post their status updates (ie. In the Emergency Room at General Hospital) and have all of their doctors instantly notified via their MedXCom Apps of their status
- Once patients include their doctors in their Health Team, they will be updated with any new conditions or recent diagnosis
- Private, secure texting between MedXCom Patient users and MedXCom Physicians and their practices
- Patients can create, list and join support groups which are restricted based on PHP diagnosis and thus have access to the latest updates of the medical literature on their condition(s) provided by medical leaders in their fields
